Today is the day that derek's gonna hav his bdae party.. cos tml we're heading up to the area near Mt. Kinabalu, Kundasang...
I BUGGED AND BUGGED till i got my wants to go to the GO-KART course in the morning.. since he promised to bring me.. but didn't manage to one of the nights before... it was difficult to wake up in the morning.. at 8am. if u slpt at 5am... aniwae.. we sent his mom to work.. then he took to car and went to pick his frens up as well...
it was a hot day.. and there was a jam on the way as well.. urghz.. very bad.. then when i reach the tracks.. it's name.. is so weird.. it's called wong kok (旺角), exactly like the area in HK.. haha juz weird.. i was really excited.. it's abt RM20 for 8 rds on a normal go-karts.. there's the racing ones as well.. which goes REALLy fast.. there's also the twin ones.. which look like it's gonna b very very slow... we asked for 4 normal karts on 8 rds... and signed the indeminity form... sound serious hor.. but i guess need la.. hahaha got pple like derek's sis.. who decided to take a hairpin turn at FULL speed.. spun out and flipped.. quite a bad one.. now stil got scar.. aniwae.. we went ta collect our karts...
then they giv us this very thin shower caps.. to cover our hair before we put on the helmets.. then when we abt to get onto the karts.. then they tell us. .they only hav 2 working normal karts.. they will give us 2 more of those twin riders... i was like.. "wadddd... i don't wanna come here all the way to crawllll along the tracks leh..." cos this is like my first time on a go-kart lah.. how can like that.. his fren was pissed.. and he started to argue with the staff... then the staff went to get his manage.. after like 15mins (seemed like forever).. they agreed to giv us 2 racing karts.. but tt 2 can only go on 5 rds.. since supposingly they are more ex... oh well.. so we hav to giv in as we juz wanna get it done and over with.. the guys took the racing ones and me and another gal took the normal ones.. apparently the racing karts can go 1 lap in 38secs.. and the normal ones do it in abt 1min... hahah but i think we all did it like at double the timing
the place smelt strongly of kerosine.. and it was super noisy due to the engine... 4 of us lined up at the starting line and raced off... i was super scared la.. after hearing of his sis getting injuried so didn't go full speed.. hahah was hanging ard last place~ and cos the kart was going quite fast even though i'm not going on full.. there were like stones that keep on flyin into my eyes.. urghz..
after getting use to the controls.. i starting to dare to speed alittle more.. but my eyes really hurt.. so it was kinda a put off.. hahaha.. i didn't hav any accidents.. while both derek and his fren spun out a few times.. and the other gal knocked into the sides of the track a few times.. i practice safe drivin~ ahahaha..
though it was scary.. becos how fast it can go.. i stil had alot of fun... we had lunch near the track and went back.. since we need to prepare for the party.. we set out the tables out at the area infront of his hse.. and lined the table clothes.. then me and derek took a nap.. too tired..
by the time we woke up, it was ard 5.30, 6pm already.. and guests were expected to arrive soon... so bathe and got dressed and helped ard preparing.. and greeting pple.. most of his relatives arrive early.. and his dad also arrive(since his dad was working in Sundakhan on wkdays)... then his high
sch gang slowly came...
the catering already arrived earlier on and the eating started at around 7.30pm... after a round of eating dinner.. there came the cake at around 9-10pm.. he got this little cousin.. SO CUTE he was like singing "happy bdae" when no one else is singing. hahaha.. didn't get his pic though.. sighz.. wasted.. went thru the usual routine of singing, wishing, cutting.. thennnn.. before we start serving his cake.. another cake was brought out~
this was suppose to be a surprise see.. as one of Derek's closer friends, bdae is on the same day as derek.. so derek's mom decided that it wld b nice to hav a cake for him as well.. hahah he was so surprised.. then we sang song and went thru the routine for him as well.. both were like choc cakes so it was rather filling...
at 12mn... 2 of his frens were like thinking wad can they do.. finally they decided on the sprinkler ~ muahahah.. they got me to fake that i'm going to take a pic for them while they stand near the garden then.. they turn on the hose~~~ and shoot them with water.. hahahaha... they were super shocked and were running all ard the place.. his parents were laffin inside the hse.. and derek's aunt even decide to join in the fun~ muahahah.. n she took the hose and shoot derek as well.. his sister found a water gun and filled it up and joined in the shooting..hahah the place got realli wet.. after the shooting stop.. the birthday boys were weeeet.. and they were going ard to find pple to hug.. hahahaha.. suddenly.. as if they didn't hav enuff fun.. they decided to drag in another gal whose bdae is 2 days ago.. ahhaha.. so she got wet as welll...
after that.. they dried themselves up.. and diff grps of pple juz went on and chit chat.. and the party finally ended at ard 4.30am.. oMG... and there was still cleaning up to do... by the time we got things settled and went off to slp.. it was like 5-5.30am already..
